Re: poret foam

Initially, I was taken aback by the sheer amount of options on their site. However, as I delved deeper, I found that the necessary information was indeed readily available - provided you have a clear idea of what you're looking for. After placing a couple of orders, I began to grasp where to find the answers to my questions. Prior to that, I reached out to the team, explaining my setup and seeking their advice on the best course of action. I imagine many new customers follow a similar path, or perhaps I just needed a bit more guidance.

I'd suggest emailing them directly. They're super helpful and will guide you through it. Just let them know what you're looking for and they'll take care of you.

I've had great results with it in my sump - really effective. Email them your sump dimensions and they'll give you a recommendation. They'll even cut it to size for you, if I recall correctly. It's a top product.

I've had SwissTropical foam in my sump for ages, and I was blown away when I drained the tank and pulled it out. It was filthy, but it still felt like new. Their foam is seriously top-notch – no need to look elsewhere. It's a one-time investment, and it's worth it.

Re: poret foam

Considering your positive experience, I might give it a shot in my sump. I've got a setup with filter socks, K1 moving bed media, and a spot for 4" foam.
Are you using 30ppi? If I had to choose, would you recommend 4" of 30ppi or a combination of 2" 30ppi and 2" 45ppi? Or is 45ppi too fine and likely to clog?
