Welcome to the club! I don't let it sit at all—just dose the conditioner, mix it in, and pour. My 65-gallon's got a canister filter, and the Discus are doing great. Just make sure the temp's spot-on.

I've been using Seachem Safe for a while now. It's the powdered version of Prime, and it's way more cost-effective. My 100-gallon's got a sump, and I do 25% changes every 4 days. Discus are healthy, no issues.

Yo, anyone tried that new Aqueon stuff? Saw it at the store, but I'm sketched out by new products. My 55-gallon's got a sponge filter, and I'm sticking with Prime for now. Discus are happy, so why fix what ain't broke?

I'm with CycleFan—Prime's been my go-to for years. 75-gallon, planted, with a canister filter. Discus are breeding, so I must be doing something right. Water changes every 3 days, 30%. Simple and effective.
