For water changes, I do 25% weekly in my 5-gallon. It keeps the water stable without using too much conditioner. Seachem Prime is concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

It's sketchy. Chlorine might evaporate, but chloramine won't. Always use conditioner to be safe.

Flakes can work, but they're not ideal. They often lack the protein bettas need. Pellets are better, even if they're a bit pricier.
