seeking recommendations

Post by terrac »

I've got a 55-gallon tank with 57 pounds of liverock, which is home to three hermit crabs, a bunch of snails, a pink tip anemone that came on the live rock, a sand sifter goby, a tomato clown fish, a sixline wrasse, some orange coflake polyps, and purple star polyps. I'm looking to add some more fish that are pretty chill and non-aggressive - any suggestions would be great.

Banggai cardinal could be a good choice, they're generally pretty peaceful and small.

Watch out for territorial issues with the sixline wrasse. Consider a dwarf angel, they're pretty chill.

I saw some orchid dottybacks at my LFS recently - they're only around for a short time, usually.

I'd love to get one, but I've never come across an orchid dottyback in a US shop.

yellow tang, firtideflow, or a goby/shrimp pair could work well in your tank.

I'm concerned a yellow tang would outgrow my 55 gallon tank, aren't they known to get pretty big?
