Malawi cichlid feeding questions

Anyone tried homemade cichlid food? I've been blending spinach, shrimp, and garlic, then freezing it in cubes. Works like a charm and saves cash.

I've done similar but added a bit of gelatin to bind it. They go crazy for it.

Mine are all about the pellets. Tried flakes once and they acted like I insulted their ancestors. Pellets all the way.

Lol, my cichlids would rather starve than eat veggies. Drama queens. But hey, at least they're entertaining.

Try soaking the veggies in garlic juice first. Sometimes the smell tricks them into taking a bite.
