Remove the decor from the water first, then glue the moss on. It's a lot less hassle than trying to get it to stick with fishing line or thread.kingrise wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 1:54 am I'd start by trimming off the dead bits, then you can attach it to whatever you like - driftwood, decor, doesn't matter. Superglue, fishing line or thread will all work, personally I think black marine-grade thread is the way to go.
Enjoy!

Won't touch a cheap, unknown brand, no idea what's in it. But the real deal, it's fine. Cures on contact with water and was meant to keep wounds closed, after all. I'm useless at tying plants on, so glue's my go-to.florap wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 6:48 amI've got a solution for you. When I attach Christmas moss, I find super glue works best. Re: Growing christmas moss: tips and advice
@florap, I didn't mean to freak you out I'm just a bit paranoid about superglue, wire and all that jazz. I thought I'd float my Christmas Moss till I get some tomorrow, but it fell apart instead. I'm worried the fish might think it's food and get unwell. I think I overreacted a bit, and the moss bits will probably be fine.
Re: Growing christmas moss: tips and advice
Everyone's updating their avatars, it seems. I prefer using fishing line for attaching Christmas moss - it's designed to hold in wet conditions, so that's a plus. Ultimately, it's about finding what works for you, as everyone's got their own preferences.
