Re: comparison of spotted and normal manderin
New to the salty side, I'm learning as I go. Just a quick question - when people say pods, are they referring to copepods, or is that a different thing altogether?

Re: setting up a fish only tank
Here's my list of fish I'd like to see, some big, some not so big:
Dog face puffer's an interesting one,
Foxface rabbit fish are cool,
Naso tang's another,
Emperor angel's a beauty,
Elephant nose is a weird one but I like it,
Jawfish are always fun to watch,
Valentin puffer's a mystery to me ...

Wow, I'm really curious about the specifics behind this amazing coral explosion. Can you please share your husbandry practices, like lighting, salt, and additives?

Re: Elegance coral defecation patterns
I've never really seen mine poop, probably because I don't feed it directly. That zooxanthellae explanation makes sense though - could be adjusting to its new environment. Do you have any photos of the curly black things and the poop hanging out of its mouth?
Ugh, I hope not. Maybe I'll try ...

Re: about queen angel
Had a lovely queen angel for ages, and this morning I couldn't find him anywhere. I thought he was just hiding really well, so I stripped the rocks apart and found him. He was in perfect condition last night, about to get moved into a bigger tank tomorrow, but now he's dead. The only other fish in ...

Re: can someone identify this fish for me?
Could be a blue devil damselfish but I'm guessing that'd be more electric blue, and it'd probably be in your books as well.
