Re: Favia feeding response
Another thing to check is your nitrate levels. Too low and they might not have the energy to feed. Mine's happiest around 5-10 ppm.

Re: Favia feeding response
My Favia isn't showing much feeding response lately. I've tried mysis, brine shrimp, and even reef roids, but it barely extends its tentacles. Tank params are stable, 78F, 1.025 salinity, 8.2 pH. Anyone else dealt with this?
Have you tried target feeding with a pipette? Sometimes they need the ...

My Torch does great with medium, random flow - it's really thriving in those conditions.

I've had a similar experience with my Scoly - I had a minor setback when I forgot to turn on my heater after a water change, and the temp dropped to 72 degrees. Thankfully, my Scoly bounced back quickly once I got the temperature back up. I gave it some LPS food as a precaution and now it's doing ...

Re: Feeding trachyphyllia, acanthastrea, and duncan corals
I've also had success using a coke bottle for feeding my Scoly - it's been a game-changer. The Scoly can now eat without worrying about those pesky cleaner shrimp trying to snatch its food. I've found that using LPS pellets is far more effective than broadcasting, and it really shows in my Scoly's ...
