Re: kris' interactions with other africans
I wouldn't recommend it. Kribs are African Riverine Cichlids that thrive in softer water with lower pH levels, which might not be ideal for your current setup. However, it's worth noting that, unless they're breeding, Kribs tend to be more peaceful than Malawis.

Re: information about malawi
A corner tank isn't ideal for Malawis. When a fish is being chased, it needs space to escape its pursuer's territory. In a standard tank, it can flee to the opposite end. In a corner tank, that's not possible.

Re: about stevenage specialist aquatics
Yeah they're still based in Crews Hill. I don't recall everything they've got in stock, but they usually have some pretty nice fish. They occasionally get something a bit different in too, which is always worth a look.
I'm looking for some Tangs, do they have those as well?
When I get to the ...

I go to Crews Hill pretty regularly, but I'm not entirely sure where they're based, could you give me an idea of the location?

Re: does this stocking list look good?
Frontosas do grow quite large, reaching around 30cm in length, which might make them a bit too big for my tank. I've noticed that most setups featuring them are species tanks with a small group of Frontosas, rather than a mixed community.

Re: considering a cichlid tank setup
Dems aren't for beginners, they're a challenging species due to their aggression. To be honest, I think they're best suited to experienced keepers who can provide a suitable environment and a decent-sized group, ideally 10 or more. This helps to distribute the aggression and gives them the space ...

You might want to check out Tropical Fish Find or Aquarists Classified, see if they've got what you're after.

I'm also in Hertfordshire, and I can tell you that your tap water is probably perfect for Malawis. No need to go down the RO route and then remineflakeize it, that's a lot of hassle. I had Malawis before and the tap water was great for them, but now I'm looking at Discus, it's a different story.
