1. Flame Prawn Goby - Just love the vibrant colours on this one, stunning to watch.
2. Mandarin Dragonette - the sheer beauty of these fish is just something else, always a pleasure.
3. Helfrichi Firtideflow - really like the way these guys move, so elegant and a great addition to any tank.

Re: A silly pet experience with my daft fish
The goby's now fully embracing the Cat as its host, effortlessly gliding between the tentacles like it's no big deal. My Cat's tentacles are notoriously sticky, I mean I've lost count of how many times I've gotten stuck to them, but this little goby seems immune.

Re: A silly pet experience with my daft fish
It's quite bizarre, to be honest. Only one of the gobies seems to be doing this. It hangs around on the edge of the tentacles, then makes a dash through a gap and sits on the flesh. I'm surprised it's not getting caught, considering my cat eats big chunks of prawn, squid, and mussel - a goby would ...

A silly pet experience with my daft fish
Hi all,
I've got a couple of queries about my fish.
Firstly, my pair of clownfish seem to be hanging around my hammer a lot lately, so I'm assuming that's what they're currently hosting. However, over the past few days, I've noticed the female 'sucking' on some of the hammer's tentacles - she ...

Re: My simple zoa garden setup
I just used some reef-safe glue and slapped them on there, lol, didn't want to overthink it, figured they'd find a way to stick around.

Re: My zoas won't open up
So I've been doing some stuff. Huge water change, 80 gallons, about a week ago. Brought nitrates down from 80 to 5ish ppm.
Added air stone in stage 2 of my refugium, trying to get pH up from 7.4/7.6 to 8.2. Then I dipped my zoas in 50/50 hydrogen peroxide for 2 minutes. Used q-tips to clean off ...

Re: My zoas won't open up
Thanks for the reply. I think I might've made things worse with the Vitamin C addition - the Zoa page swore by it, but it caused a Skimmer surge and all the waste collected in a week+ was returned into my tank. So that's probably contributing to the higher nitrates. Water changes are on the agenda ...

Re: My zoas won't open up
I'm at a loss here, guys. I've had these zoas for a bit now and they're just not opening up like I expected. I've got the Kessils set on Active 1, with the intensity varying but the color staying pretty blue - maxing out at around 30-40% or so. I've also got the Fluval 2.0 in the middle, but I'm not ...
