Re: Play sand inquiries
Happy to help. Just take it slow and you'll be fine. Also, if you're worried about cloudiness, adding a filter floss pad can clear it up faster.

Re: Play sand inquiries
I tried play sand once and it was a nightmare. Cloudy water for days, even after rinsing. Ended up switching back to gravel. Maybe I did something wrong, but it just didn't vibe with my tank.
Did you rinse it in small batches? I found that doing it in a bucket with a hose worked way better than ...

its been a week now and i'm quarantining and treating him with melafix, following the instructions for injured fish to the letter. he still doesn't seem to be improving though, is there still hope for him? he's eating and acting just fine, that's the weird part.

Re: about pop eye
thanks for the replies, really appreciate it ... added a tiny bit of melafix, about 1/4 the recommended dose, and popeye's still eating like a champ, never lost his appetite, seems like it's on the mend

about pop eye
Need some advice for my blue reef chromis with popeye. Had him for 4 months now, and yesterday I saw his eye blow up pretty bad. Other tank mates are 3 perc clowns, 1 fire fish, 1 diamond goby, 1 yellow tang, and a six line wrasse. Haven't added anything new in a while (about 3 months), but did add ...

Re: Chalice coral emergency
Gotta find a sweet spot for this chalice, or it's gonna be a quick decline. Thing is, not all chalices are created equal when it comes to light and flow - I've got some that thrive in the current, while others stress out in the same conditions.

Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
I've found the same with my own Favias - some seem to really thrive under higher light conditions, while others prefer a bit more shade.
