Yeah, but it's picky about light. Mine stayed green until I upgraded my setup. Still dope, though.

Re: What's Your Favorite Plant Combo?

Bro, try some Marimo balls and Duckweed. Super low maintenance, and the Duckweed gives that natural, overgrown look. Just don't let it block all the light, or your other plants will throw a fit.

You think I'm making it up, huh? Algae's got the tank looking rough and the little guys are hiding - I swear they're shy. I'm not teasing, just setting up their new home.

Re: Mandarin spotted in the wild

I agree with LLJ, adding more fish to a 10g tank seems like overstocking to me. Mandarin fish are notoriously finicky - some will only eat live food, which can be an issue in a relatively young tank like yours, with a pod population that's still developing. You'd need to consider culturing your ...

Re: Mandarin spotted in the wild

I've been eyeing a spotted mandarin for my nano, it's 5 months old now. Just wondering if there's anything I should be aware of before adding it. Should I give it a bit more time? Any thoughts would be great, thanks!

If this is indeed the 10g tank you mentioned elsewhere, I'd advise against it ...

Frogspawn coral care and flow requirements

Had a bit of a scare with our little frogspawn - one of the powerheads got shifted and I think it might've been too much flow, looked like some tissue damage was done. Adjusted it back and the coral was fine but it's not getting as big as it used to. I bumped up the flow a bit today, so we'll see ...

Re: Caring for bubble coral

UPDATE. Thought it was weird my CA was off. Old kit, so I took a sample to my LFS. They confirmed the low reading, suggested a couple of dosings 48 hours apart. Owner's a friend, and he's big on partials, so I did one dose, then a small partial. Went back to LFS, different salesperson ran the test ...

Re: Caring for bubble coral

I've been slacking on water changes and it caught up with me. CA dropping that low isn't normal, I know. Been keeping crazy hours and it fell by the wayside. Appreciate the advice.
