Re: Oops, my mistake
Glad the livestock's okay. Plants might take a week to perk up. If they don't, trim the worst leaves. New growth'll come in healthier. Keep us posted.

Re: Oops, my mistake
Agree with Vikingo1. Had a similar scare last month. My Anubias bounced back after two water changes. How much Flourish did you add? Also, check your Betta for stress stripes.

Re: why do my plants get slimy?
Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'll try cutting back on food and maybe add some shrimp. The slime is clear, so it's likely biofilm like you said.

why do my plants get slimy?
My Anubias and Java Fern have been getting this weird slime coating lately. Tank is a 20 gallon, parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. I do weekly 25% water changes and use a Fluval 207 canister filter. Lighting is on for 8 hours a day. Any ideas what's causing this?

Re: HOW TO FRAG ZOANTHIDS
You'll do fine. Just take your time and stay calm. Zoanthids are tougher than they look. Let us know how it turns out.

Re: HOW TO FRAG ZOANTHIDS
It's normal to be nervous, but Zoanthids are pretty resilient. Just take it slow and make clean cuts. I've fragged mine multiple times, and they always bounce back. What's your lighting schedule? Too much light right after fragging can stress them.

Re: breeding yellow labs: what you need to know
Yellow labs aren't monogamous, in fact, they're quite the opposite - trying to pair them off could be disastrous for the females. I'd suggest thinning out the males, leaving only 2-3, and providing plenty of hiding spots for the females - think small caves and shelters that the males can't fit ...

Re: breeding yellow labs: what you need to know
Cichlids can be tricky, they're monogamous so you gotta wait for them to pair off. They basically choose when they want to breed.
