Re: Platy odd behavior
10 hours might be pushing it, especially if the tank gets any ambient light. Try reducing it to 8 hours and see if they chill out. Also, make sure they have some shaded spots with plants or decor.

Re: Platy odd behavior
That's a good point. Overlighting can cause stress. What's your current photoperiod, Ryzzora?

Could be low oxygen levels. Have you checked surface agitation? If your filter output isn't breaking the surface much, try adjusting it or adding an air stone. Platies are sensitive to oxygen levels, especially in warmer water.

Re: Debunking euphyllia compatibility myths
Torches aren't exactly the friendliest. Had an Indo hammer going after an Aussie hammer recently, had to rearrange a few things to keep the peace.

+1 medium flow, I think that's the way to go. The tentacles should have a nice gentle sway to them, not be getting blasted by the water flow.

I've gotta agree with the others, the stingray's a no-go, it'll outgrow your tank in no time. The batfish isn't a good idea either, they get huge, like over 2 feet tall, and their survival rate's really low. I mean, it's like FableRex said, they're a tough sell.

Re: information on watanabei angelfish
Thanks, so I could add the carpenter's wrasse and the mandarin if I find one that's eating, and it still shouldn't be overstocked, right?

Re: information on watanabei angelfish
Considering my tank's inhabitants, I'm wondering if I'd be overstocking with the addition of the Watanabe's Angelfish. Here's my current list: 2 ocellaris clowns, 2 original firtideflow, a wheeler's watchman goby, a tiger pistol shrimp, a fire shrimp, a skunk cleaner shrimp, 3-4 bangaii cardinals ...
