Flow requirements for torch corals
Flow requirements for torch corals
Just got my cornbred burning torch in the tank about 10 hours ago. Had it in a spot with pretty strong flow at first, but it was a bit too much - its skeleton was visible, though its tentacles were fully out and it seemed content. Moved it to a different area with less flow, and now its tentacles aren't as extended as they were. Guess I'm trying to find that sweet spot where it's getting moderate flow, but not direct.

Post a pic of that torch first. Then, for now, try medium flow and low light, see how it does.

Here's the pic of my cornbred burning torch. Cell phone doesn't do colors justice. Tentacles are actually neon orange with black and shaded areas, and neon blue/green tips.

+1 medium flow, I think that's the way to go. The tentacles should have a nice gentle sway to them, not be getting blasted by the water flow.
Re: Flow requirements for torch corals
Gonna try to find a decent medium flow spot in my tank, see if that does the trick.
