I'd say cut it with RO if you can. My first batch croaked in hard water, second batch's doing great with 150 ppm. Tank's 55 gallons, driftwood, no plants. Filter's a cheapo HOB, but it works. Feed 'em tetra bits and frozen brine shrimp.

My Discus tank's a 55g with a cheapo HOB. Flow's low, but they still hide sometimes. Maybe my angelfish are bullying them? Got Java ferns and a basic LED light. Water's soft, pH 6.8. Should I upgrade the filter?

I've got a lone Red Eagle discus in my 75g, used to have a buddy but a heater malfunction did him in a couple months back. Luckily my Red Eagle made it through, but now he's hiding a bit more.
