Re: Are these corals normal?
I've got a hammer that looks similar to your frogspawn, same stretched out appearance. I'll chime in and see what others think about it.

Re: My bicolor blenny purchase was the best decision i've made in a long time
My clowns are pretty chill with mine too, they let him do his thing. If my chromis get too close to their rock, they're like "nope, not having it", but the blenny's free to swim around, sit on the rock, or even pop into a hole if he wants.
I picked him up from the LFS, he was just sitting in a ...

Re: Unusual growth on hammer coral skeleton
I just got home from work when I wrote this, it's a frogspawn haha. I'm still trying to figure out why I said hammer, guess I was brain dead.
As for the bryozoans, I've been looking into them but can't seem to find much. Are they beneficial or something I should be worried about? I'm more ...

Re: Optimizing coral placement in your aquarium

Re: adding fish the right way
It's not a hard and fast rule, more of a personal choice. I've never had a quarantine tank, and to be honest, it's worked out okay for me so far. I did have a bit of a scare with an ICH outbreak when I first set the tank up, but that was with the initial fish, so I wouldn't have quarantined them ...

Re: Losing interest...
17 litres is classed as a pico tank. I'd recommend searching the forums or Google for what's suitable, but a hermit crab could work. For tropical marine tanks, you'll need a heater, but not for coldwater ones. However, coldwater setups are less common and might require a chiller, which is quite ...
