Show off your coral gardens

Post by havenmix »

I've got a soft spot for LPS gardens, you know, the usual suspects - acans, euphyllia, and the like. Here's a snapshot of my euphyllia garden, although I should mention it's a bit outdated - I do have E. yaeyamaensis in there, just not visible in this particular photo.

Not the best pics, but I'll share my Elegance garden with you. I might squeeze in a small blue tip, we'll see. The iPhone camera's really bringing out the blues here, it's not that vibrant in person. I was working on an acan garden, but I ended up scattering them around the tank to make space for the elegance.

Acan garden, finally got it together after having to scatter them initially.

Really like your setup, FinFlip. The black sand is a great choice, it really makes the acans stand out. Would love to see a close-up of that green and orange one in the first pic, middle back.

I've seen Bud's elegance garden in person, it's definitely impressive.

Appreciate the kind words. That's four small heads of Cornbred's Panther Chameleon Acan - it's getting fed multiple times a week, so I'm expecting some rapid growth. I'll try to get a close-up shot of it for you. These pics were snapped shortly after the lights came on, so some of the acans aren't as fully expanded as they usually are after a few hours of lighting.
