is my electric yellow bike okay?

Hi, just a quick question about my sunnygold - it's looking really pale but it's still eating and pH seems fine, is that alright?

It's looking pale, not just a bit off color. Do you have a male or female sunnygold - I've noticed some color variations between the sexes.

Its dorsal fin is black, but I'm still not entirely sure about the sex of my sunnygold as I haven't observed any other defining characteristics yet.

Many fish display pale coloration when under stress. Have you introduced any new tankmates recently that could be causing this stress?

I have two sunnygolds that are the newest additions to the tank.

How long have the sunnygolds been in the tank? When was your last water test and what were the results? Is the temperature at a suitable level for them? Also, when did you last do a water change and what percentage did you replace?

I finished cycling the tank about a month ago, so I haven't done any water changes yet. Last time I tested the water was about 4 days ago, and the pH was fine. I've had the electric yellows for about two weeks now.

I'd recommend doing a substantial water change, around 75% would be a good idea. Make sure to add conditioner to the new water and try to match the temperature of the water currently in the tank. Also, don't forget to vacuum the gravel while you're at it.
