Duncan head coral budding techniques
I've noticed a trend with my Duncanopsamia corals - when they're actively growing, the heads tend to be quite pale in color.

Just got my first two buds off a two-headed frag, and yeah, they're lookin' pretty pale, just like the one you posted.

Mine started with 3 little ones, now I've got a dozen heads going strong. They're pale at first, but once they mature, the color really comes through. Love my Duncans!!

My single head Duncan's a vibrant fluorescent green, but I've got two new heads coming in and they're currently a pale yellow.

I've got a couple new branches that are pale like yours, they're looking a bit washed out right now, but I'm expecting them to color up to that bright green in a few months.
