Here comes godzilla: tokyo's latest threat

Post by starlord »

I just grabbed a Buce today, and I've gotta say, I'm pretty good with plants, but what really sold me on this one is its unique ability to bloom underwater - plus, I had some credit to burn. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any fin-nibbling and yank it ASAP if that's the case. Anyone else out there having great luck with this plant?

I've had pretty good luck with them, they seem like easy-going plants, nothing too finicky.
I actually came across a large batch at Petsmart for $8, but the water quality in the tank looked a bit off, so I decided to pass on it.

I paid nearly double what you did for mine, Giggletons, but at least I didn't have to worry about shipping and I got to hand-pick the best one. This Buce is the final addition to my plant collection, I'm all set now. By the way, the one I got is sold as 'Godzilla', supposedly it's a faster grower than other Buce varieties. I'm not holding my breath for rapid growth, I just hope it thrives.

Update on the Godzilla - it's been a day, and so far, so good. No nibbling, no drama. I'm taking that as a positive sign, for now.
