discussing the frontosa

Post by barkwood »

Really pleased with how they're doing, had them for a month now and all 5 are thriving, just like I expected from my research. They're super active and not shy at all. Will post some pics soon, just gotta figure out how to do it from my phone. What about you, what do you keep with your pets?

I've got 6 red fronts and a couple of blue ones from Zambia.

My tankmates for them are 4 synodontis petricola. I'm thinking of adding a couple of eretmodus cyanosticus soon to help with the algae issue.

In my opinion, fronts are best kept alone or with peaceful fish. I was tempted to add some julidochromis marlieri, but I was worried they'd be too aggressive for my taste.

Some of my fronts can be quite shy, but they've got plenty of hiding spots to feel secure. I've got about 80 kg of Moonrock stacked in my Vision 450, so they've got plenty of places to hide.
