feeding mbuna broccoli

Post by Lean94 »

Hey all, simple question for you. Want to start giving my Mbuna some broccoli and maybe other veggies later on. Never tried this before, so any advice is great.
Raw, blanched, or cooked - what's the way to go?

Unfortunately I'm not much help with cichlids, not my area of expertise. Maybe @Emeflakedsea can offer some advice though.

I give my Mbuna blanched or cooked veggies, seems to work out well for them.

I'd advise against the cruciferous veggies. Zucchini, cucumber, or peas might be a better option. Spinach or lettuce could work, but I've found my fish aren't too keen on lettuce. I also use Repashy with cucumber, peas, and zucchini, seems to do the trick.
