Hey TFF
Just moved Ace and the gang to a new tank after that crazy moss invasion.
Expected his tail to heal by now, but nothing's changed.
Fluxx is still a mystery to me - any ideas?
Need some help here?
Improving my betta's tail with hikari
Re: Improving my betta's tail with hikari
Is it just me, or does he have that crowntail look going on?
Re: Improving my betta's tail with hikari
Are you asking if Hikari food is the reason Ace's tail isn't healing? I highly doubt it, to be honest. Water changes are what's going to help with health issues, not food alone.
I've been out of the Hikari betta pellet loop for years, but from what I recall, they had a lot of fillers and fish meal - not exactly the best ingredients. I'm not sure if they've revamped their formula since then.
Those cherry barbs you've got might be non-aggressive, but even they can't resist a betta's tail sometimes.

I'm with sSjey on this, clean water is the way to go. Don't waste your money on fancy meds, the pet store people will promise the world, but it's just clean water that'll really make a difference. If you're worried about those Cherry Barbs, just move Ace to a quarantine tank or another empty one, problem solved.

No doubts about the cherry barbs, they're all good with each other. Been doing water changes for a month now, still no progress.
