Lobo coral feeding response
Lobo coral feeding response
I just got a bi color Lobo and it's been doing something weird when I feed it. At first, I gave it mysis and it ate it right away, no tentacles showing. Now, every time I feed it, the food just sits there by its mouth for like 20 minutes before the tentacles come out and it eats. I'm curious, why the change?
Re: Lobo coral feeding response
It's tough to pinpoint the exact reason for this behavior, but the fact that the Lobo is eating is definitely a positive sign. I wouldn't stress about it too much, though - as long as it's consuming the food, that's what matters. GL.
Re: Lobo coral feeding response
I've found that Lobos don't need to eat daily, especially if you're giving them larger meals. If it's gone a while without food and you finally feed it, it'll usually have a strong feeding response and chow down. Maybe that's what happened with yours - it was hungry at first and ate quickly, but now that it's getting fed more regularly, it's slowed down a bit.
