My clowns are multiplying.

Post by creebo »

I just witnessed the female cleaning a rock right below the brain coflake of her host. I've also seen her do this wiggle-dance thing. Before that, they had nipped at each other but stopped for some reason. I'm pretty sure this is their mating ritual, but with the female cleaning that rock, should I expect eggs soon? I'm not at all prepared to care for the fry, but I've heard once they spawn, another batch comes every two weeks - is that true?

Mine have been doing the wiggle dance and cleaning rocks for ages, but still no spawn. I've seen them show all the signs, just like yours, but nothing's come of it yet.

My pair's always at it, but they never seem to actually lay eggs, just lots of prep work, like they're getting ready for something that never happens.

Yeah, I'm with the others on this one. Definitely a positive sign though. Keep an eye out for those little orange eggs, just in case they do decide to spawn.
