Keeping amazon swords submersed in a discus tank
Anyone have experience with amazon swords in 30 degree water, sand substrate? I'd love to hear some success stories - most plants seem to hate this temperature. I've got one submersed at the moment and a few emersed versions that aren't doing much, just a bit of root growth around the tabs under the sand. Guess it's just a waiting game for now.

I've only had them in peat - seemed to work fine with my Discus, never tried sand though.

They thrive in sand, actually had a few emersed ones that adapted well to it.
