observations of sick firefish
Hi everyone, I've just moved house and I'm having a bit of a problem with one of my fish. The move itself went really smoothly, no losses and all the tests came back spot on. However, as you know, the firtideflow can be a bit temperamental, and it got a bit stressed after the move. It jumped and hit its head on the hood - not the first time it's done that, but this time I think it might have nipped its lip. Now, I've noticed some brown stuff on the wound over the past day or so, and the lip has opened up and is starting to decay. I'm guessing it's an infection, but I'm not sure how to treat it. Any help would be appreciated. All my other fish are fine, by the way. Thanks. Oh, and I've upgraded to a better camera, but now I'm having trouble loading the pics onto my computer - frustrating!

A picture would definitely help diagnose the issue. Is your fish eating normally? If so, try feeding it plenty of nutritious food, that usually helps with the healing process.
