Apologies for the rubbish photos.
1)
Ignore the bogwood for now, it's just there for the plecs and they'll be relocated later.
2) Venustus?
3)
I'll get some better pics up soon, struggling with the lighting in this tank.
Request for additional ids
Re: Request for additional ids
I'd say #2 is probably a Placidochromis Milomo, not a Venustus, based on the pic.
Re: Request for additional ids
Don't think it's a Milomo, mate. I'm still convinced it's a Venustus - it's got that distinctive blue face and them giraffe markings. The bloke I got it from said it was a Livingstonii, but I'm not buying it.
Re: Request for additional ids
First one's probably a pseudotropheus socolofi, but I'm open to correction - could be way off.
Re: Request for additional ids
My old Livi didn't look that similar to yours, to be honest. The blotch markings were there, but the blue face was only visible occasionally. I think you might be right about the Milomo, though - I've read that tank-bred ones often don't have the distinctive lip like the wild ones. Still, it's good that you've got a big tank, as he does look like a bit of a handful. Sorry I'm not more help, but I'm sure someone will be able to give you a more accurate ID for all your fish.
Re: Request for additional ids
I'm pretty sure it's a Venustus, Milomo have those brownish red blotches on their fins, that's the main difference for me.
