Discovering the unknown: lessons from unexpected experiences
Discovering the unknown: lessons from unexpected experiences
I just spent a lovely time planting the plants in my aquarium. Initially, I was hesitant about having real plants - the thought of maintaining them didn't exactly thrill me. My experience with aquariums started when I was younger, and I had what I now know is Anacharis Elodia. I'd just toss it in and let it float, and it would grow rapidly, covering the top of the tank. I'd cut half of it out and discard it. Fast forward to now, my husband stuck some in our tank with the roots still attached. After watching a few Seveflake videos, I learned how to properly plant it and the other plants. I have to say, I'm really enjoying it - I guess it's no surprise, given my gardening obsession. lolol

Oh I'm so glad you asked, it's looking amazing now that I've got the plants properly in. I'm actually really proud of myself, lol. I'll try to get a picture up soon. We've got a few fish swimming around them, they seem to love it.

Elodea's amazing, right. I'm a bit jealous, wish I could get my hands on some of your clippings, but distance is a bummer. I'm pretty sure @kingrise is just as hooked as I am on the stuff - it's got this incredible, wild look to it and grows like crazy.
