To help reduce algae in your tank, increasing the oxygen content is key. Check your temperature, as lower is better. Adding more plants is also beneficial, as a heavily planted tank typically has higher oxygen levels. Consider upping your water changes to once a week and cutting back on the amount of food you're giving your fish. You could also try adding an air stone to your tank.
