Fertilizing my plants for the first time
Fertilizing my plants for the first time
Hi, I'm relatively new to aquarium keeping and I'm looking for some advice on my 57 litre fluval flex setup. I've had live plants in the tank since the beginning, about 8 months ago, but they're starting to look a bit worn out now. I'm assuming the initial nutrients in the soil have been depleted and they need a top-up. I've bought some Seachem florish tablets but I'm not sure how to use them properly. Any guidance would be great, thanks. I've got 3 sterbai corydoras and a betta, Tyrion - named after the Game of Thrones character, lol. He's got a big personality, even if he is a fish. I've attached some photos of the tank.
Re: Fertilizing my plants for the first time
Just push the Seachem florish tablets into the substrate near the roots of the heavy feeding plants, that way they'll get the nutrients they need.
Looking at your photos, I can see you've got some long stems floating on the surface - depending on the type of plant, they might need a liquid feed as some plants absorb fertiliser through their leaves.

Thanks for the advice sSjey, really appreciate it. I'll give it a go and push the tabs into the substrate near the roots of the plants that need it most.
