keeping pygmy corydoras in a species-only tank

Post by eleNt »

The pygmy corydoras appears to be endemic to the Rio Madeira basin in Brazil. The tank itself will be a black Aqua One Lifestyle 76 litre tank, measuring 60cm w by 45cm h by 33cm d, from Petstock South Fremantle. 76 litres is essential for this species because they require lots of space. They need to be in a large group of their own species so that they aren't that shy as they used to be.

The tank will include some pieces of driftwood and live plants that are native to the Amazon Rainforest and near Peru. The fish will thrive under such conditions and eat a variety of foods given to them. This is a species-only aquarium.

I hope the project will begin after I have built the 130 litre Lake Inle project.
