dempseys: male or female, seeking identification help

I've got 2 jack dempseys, both r around 4-6 inches and I'm still trying to figure out if they're male or female. Think I might have one of each, but honestly not sure. Gonna try to post some pics, hopefully some of you more experienced folks can take a look and let me know what I've got.

Yea I know, I messed up on the origin, I realize now they're not African cichlids like my Malawis, I just got used to thinking they were. I'm still having trouble posting pics, I'll try again.
