Hi,
I'm setting up a fish room with tanks holding around 5000 litres of water. My largest tank will be 2.6m long. I'll mainly keep Heckels. I've kept artificial discus before with daily large water changes using just a sponge filter. But I've heard mixed views on water changes for wild Heckels. Some people say daily large volume changes are fine, while others recommend less frequent changes with good filtration. Heckels need lower pH, so I'm unsure about the best approach. Should I aim for a 25% weekly water change schedule? I'm also planning a centralised filter system. What's the best way to run it - a battery of canister filters or sumps?
