Discussion on the new aquasky 2.0

Post by jimmyocean »

I'm struggling to find the sweet spot with my Aquasky 2.0.
I either crank up the light and my plants thrive, but then I'm dealing with a nasty brown algae issue all over the leaves and glass.
Or I dial it back and the algae disappears, but my plants start to suffer and die off.
Anyone else have this problem and find a solution that works?

I'm not much help with specific settings, but I recently got my hands on the Plant 3.0 light for my new tank. I found this chart online that I'm using as a starting point, and I'll adjust as needed. For my previous light on my other tank, I found that 6 hours a day was the sweet spot for me, but I'm guessing that'll change with the new light.

Still having issues with brown algae on my plants and decor. Getting frustrated with it. I've tried adjusting the light settings on my Aquasky 2.0 but nothing seems to be working. Powerin mentioned using a chart for their Plant 3.0, anyone have a similar chart for the Aquasky 2.0? Would love to hear about any successful settings you've used.

I'm running my Plant 3.0 for around 6-7 hours daily. As for the light settings, I'm keeping it relatively low, with no colors exceeding 50% intensity. The blue spectrum is particularly low, at just 3%. I'm also using liquid fertilizer to give my plants an extra boost.
