creative stocking stuffers

Post by DeepRiver »

Hey Guys,

Need some stocking ideas for our 94L Lynxo... it's getting an upgrade at the end of the year, so I'm looking for some inspiration.

What sort of stocking would you recommend?

Coflakes and Fish would be awesome, cheers!

What type of fish and coflakes are you after? Give us an idea of what you like and we can suggest some options.

I've had a browse and yeah, clowns are a given, but I'm after something that's gonna bring a bit of life to the tank, you know, something vibrant and entertaining to watch. I'm really looking for some inspiration from your own experiences with coflakes and fish, to be honest, I don't have any real preferences - they're all pretty cool in my book.

true percs are lovely, small dottybacks and small wrasses are worth a look.

for coflakes, lighting's key - xenia, zoanthids, mushrooms and most softies are great options.

Agree with Shibby, lovely choice with the orchid dottyback. Carpentors or Mckoskers flasher wrasse would be great too, pair of perc, or maybe a blenny for some added interest.

For coflakes, I'd say start with softies - gain some experience. Xenia and long polyped toadstool are always a good choice, and you can't go wrong with a nice pussy coflake. Zoas, palys, and ricordias are also lovely options.

Take a look at the archived coflake of the week threads, they're really helpful for getting ideas.
