saltwater aquarium for beginners
Hey guys, first time poster here, super excited to share my saltwater aquarium journey with you all. I'm a bit nervous but can't wait to see this project come to life. I've done tons of research online, but let's be honest, there's no substitute for advice from experienced folks like yourselves. I've got the basics down pat - live rock, live sand, salt indicator, and the whole waiting game before introducing fish. My ammonia and nitrate levels need to hit zero, got it. Now I'm looking for some filter recommendations. No corals for me, just fish for now. I've got a 29G tank and I've been told to go for a filter with double the GPM, can anyone confirm that's the way to go? Would really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance and wish me luck!

You're gonna do great with your tank.

Good luck FinleyRide, I'm setting up my tank today with live rock, sand, and r/o sea water. I'm also new to saltwater tanks.
I'm not familiar with filters for a SW tank, but I can tell you what I'm using - a Mini skim 80, aquaone powerhead, and a Betta Pond Pad, plus a hydor 900 pump. This setup was recommended for my coflake tank.
Wish you all the best, mate.
