If you got them from your local fish store, chances are your female is pregnant. See, the stores keep males and females together for this exact reason. No need to buy males, they're usually pricier too. Just get a few females, and when they have their babies, you'll have males as well. Keep the tank super clean and add some floating plants. Start feeding a bit more, so the adults don't see the babies as food. When the babies are born, they'll swim to the surface for air and need some hiding spots from the adults.

If there's a male in the tank, it's almost a given they're pregnant. Your females look lovely, by the way. Best of luck with the new additions.

Thanks for the advice, I've actually got two males in the tank at the moment. It's weird though, the females haven't had any babies in a few months and I'm not sure why. I've also got another female that hasn't had any either. I've had the orange and yellow tailed guppy for about 5 months, and the male for the same amount of time. I got the orange tailed guppy about 2 months ago, along with another male, just in case the original male wasn't doing his job.

I'd recommend deworming them. Check out section 3 of this link: www.fishforums.net. It's about what to do if your fish has stringy white poop. There's a few reasons why fish do this, like internal bacterial infections which can cause them to stop eating, get all bloated, breathe heavily, and eventually die within 24-48 hours.

Update - turns out the guppies were indeed pregnant and I've been pleasantly surprised by a tank full of babies.
