Are there pre-drilled tanks available from manufacturers other than fluval?
Looking to upgrade my tank, title says it all. Currently got a Fluval Roma 240, but I'm after something around 300-350 litres. Must have pre-drilled holes in the bottom for the filter pipes, don't want to go back to having pipes draped over the back. Had enough of that hassle. Need a tank with a lid and cabinet, don't mind about the rest as I'll just reuse my current gear. It's for freshwater, so any suggestions would be great, thanks.

If you're after a custom job, manufacturers can source glass with pre-drilled holes, making assembly a breeze. Alternatively, you could try your hand at building your own tank - just get a local glazier to do the drilling for you.
When it comes to drilling holes in glass, it's generally best to have them positioned near the corners. This way, there's less pressure on the base, reducing the likelihood of cracks when the tank's full.
As for companies that offer drilling services for existing tanks, they'll either come to you or you'll need to take the tank to them. While most won't provide a guarantee against cracking the base, they're pretty skilled at avoiding it - and it's not a common occurrence.
