Choosing between male/male or male/female relationships

Honestly, I'm getting a bit skeptical about this. They just seem to be going around in circles, chasing each other more and more lately.

Appears to be a pair, male and female.

You have any floating plants? Gouramis seem to enjoy hiding under them.

I have floating plants, and they seem to love munching on the long roots.

If the female is new, the male is basically staking his claim, letting her know who's boss. Give them a few days, they should calm down.

They've been together since September 11, and to be honest, the chasing has only gotten worse, especially in the last two weeks or so.
