revamping my 29-gallon tank

Post by twiller »

I'm in the process of revamping my 29 gallon tank. This weekend, I'm making the switch to sand substrate and I'm eager to give live plants another shot - my past attempts haven't exactly been successful.

I've got a pair of kribs, 2 black angels, and my trusty BN plec lined up for this tank. I'd love to hear your thoughts on some additional stocking options. I'm always fascinated by how people approach different tank setups.

You might want to consider adding a shoaling fish, it would complement the angels nicely. I'd recommend going for something like cardinals or lemon tetras, they'd be a great fit. Avoiding the smaller ones like galaxy rasboras might be a good idea, as they might get lost in a 29-gallon tank.

Considering you're going with sand, corydoras could be a great addition, six of them would do well. Alternatively, khuli loaches might be another good option.
