New discus

My old pet store finally reopened the fish section after nearly two years. I told myself I was just looking, but then I saw them - 1.5" super red discus. That 'super' really got me. I ended up buying two. Luckily, I had a quarantine tank all set up with a bn pleco, so I was ready. They're still hiding, so I'm giving them some time.

Those discus are really something, I especially like the one on the right, that strong vertical stripe through the eye is a great touch. I'm curious, will it hold onto that feature as it grows?

Those discus are really catching my eye, especially that stripe. Looking forward to seeing how they'll color up.

These two have been a handful. They brought something with them, I'm still not sure what. Daily 50% water changes in a separate room, separate tank, and still my other tanks got hit. Cross contamination is no joke. Meanwhile, they're oblivious, doing just fine and growing like champs.

A month on, they're growing alright. Still not quite 2" though. Got some new additions from Dennis' discus this week - 3 Raffleisa and a yellow malboro.

Lovin' the new additions, Tom. Those raffs are lookin' sweet, and that yellow malboro's got a great shape to it.
