my experience with the fluval 407 filter

Post by Davyce »

Hi everyone,

I've recently damaged the external case of my filter and, as it's quite pricey, I'm not keen on replacing the whole thing.

After searching online, I found that you can buy these cases separately, but I can only find a 406 model - does anyone know if this is compatible with the 407?

Don't want to purchase if it's the wrong size.

Thanks,
Dave

Same issue here, I'm also using a 407 model, but I'm not sure if the canister itself is compatible with a 406 external canister case - would hate for you to buy the wrong one.

I'd suggest getting in touch with the company, they'll probably be able to give you a more definitive answer than we can here.

I found the answer - the Fluval A20198 is the part number for the 407 canister, and it looks like the 406 and 407 parts aren't compatible.

I found it on Fluval's US site for $41.99, and $61.99 on the Canadian one.
