Encouraging zoas to attach

Post by rapiduxe »

I've got a bit of a situation with two little zoa polyps that I think a snail or hermit might've knocked off the frag disk.

Instead of trying to glue the frag disk to their flesh, I was thinking of putting them in a small container of rubble and letting them attach to some substrate on their own. Does this approach work for zoas like it does for ricordea?

How long would you guys estimate it'd take for them to grab hold of something I can secure in place?

Thanks!

Honestly, just super glue them to a rock, it's the easiest way.

I agree, but I've had success with the rubble container method too. It's worth a shot if you're not comfortable with super glue.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll give the rubble and gravel method a shot, even if it's just a few pieces, the glue should hold better.
