Also, keep an eye on your water flow. High flow can dislodge swords even in fine substrate. Maybe adjust your filter output if they're still floating after adding root tabs.

For real, flow's low-key the silent killer. My swords hated my HOB filter until I baffled it with a sponge. Now they're thriving in plain old sand.
