setting up a sfe in a 65-gallon tank?
setting up a sfe in a 65-gallon tank?
I've had some discussions about this, and the general consensus for a Snowflake Eel is to go with a 75 gallon tank. I've recently come across a 65 gallon tank at a great price, and I'm probably going to grab it regardless of what I end up putting in it. However, I'm now considering getting an immature Snowflake Eel, about 8-10 inches in length, and I was wondering if a 65 gallon tank would be suitable for it. I'm planning to keep the setup relatively obstacle-free and I'm prepared to upgrade to a bigger tank in the future, assuming that's a year or two down the line. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
Re: setting up a sfe in a 65-gallon tank?
I've come across info saying they need at least 30 gallons, but I'm pretty sure a Snowflake would thrive in a 65 gallon. I've never had one personally, so take my opinion for what it's worth.

You'd be fine with a 65, I've read they can thrive in smaller spaces but with that size you'll have plenty of room for your Snowflake Eel to grow.
