A little assistance

Post by sunnya_1 »

I've got a male kerbensis and every so often, he'll start shaking his body really fast - is this something I should be worried about or is it just normal behavior for them?

To help you better, I'll need some more info about your tank. Can you please fill out the following details?

- Tank size is what, exactly?
- What's your pH level?
- Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels - do you have those?
- What about kH and gH?
- What's the tank temp like?

Also, can you describe the symptoms your kerbensis is showing, like any lesions, color changes, or weird behavior? How often do you change the water and how much do you change at a time?

What kind of chemical additives or media do you have in your tank? And who else lives in the tank with your kerbensis?

Have you added anything new to the tank recently, like fish, decorations, or plants? And have you been exposed to any chemicals that could affect the tank?

If you can, please share a digital photo of your tank and your kerbensis - that might help us figure out what's going on.

My kerbensis used to do that fast body shake thing when he was trying to impress the female, getting all ready to breed.

Moved to Old World Cichlids sub-forum, thanks for the tip craftzone, sunnya_1, you might want to check if your male's just putting on a show.
