what's the best plant for cover?
I'm setting up a new 20 gallon tank and need some dense plants for cover. What's the best option for low light conditions? I've got a sand substrate and a basic LED light.

Java Moss is a solid choice, dude. It's chill and grows like crazy even in low light. Plus, it's great for shrimp and fry to hide in.

Anubias Nana is another good pick. It's slow growing but super hardy. Attach it to driftwood or rocks, and it'll thrive without much fuss.

If you want something taller, try Vallisneria. It's a grass-like plant that grows fast and provides great cover. Just needs a bit more light than Java Moss.

Hornwort is another option. It's floating or planted, grows quick, and gives fish plenty of hiding spots. Just be ready for some maintenance.

I've had good luck with Cryptocoryne Wendtii. It's a bit slower but super durable. Works well in low light and sand substrate.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I think I'll start with Java Moss and Anubias Nana and see how they do.

Good choices. Both are easy to care for and should do well in your setup.

Don't forget to check your water params. Some plants can be picky about pH and hardness.
