Re: Identify this coral
That clears up the confusion for me too, thanks for the correction. A Goniopora having 24 individual tentacles at the end of a polyp, while an Alveopora has 12, makes more sense now.
Re: Identify this coral
I've been feeding my gonioporas with homemade fish food. Now I'm thinking of trying phytoplankton nanochloropsis as a food source, but I need to get my hands on some seed culture first. Does anyone know where I can find it in the market these days?
Re: Identify this coral
When I mentioned "market" I was referring to local fish stores and online retailers - you can find the necessary supplies there. For example, Two Little Fishies has a product called "Goniopower" that's specifically designed as food for Goniopora and Alveopora. New Life Spectrum's Reef Micro Feeder is another option you could consider. There are likely many more products available as well.

Appreciate the help, flintech
Re: Identify this coral
I agree with flintech, your coral is a goniopora.

Yeah, I'm with the others, definitely a goni.
